Canopy by Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island Resort

Three original textured works were commissioned in 2025 for the guest corridor of Canopy by Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island Resort, located on Miyako Island, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. The project was commissioned through ILYA.

Miyako Island is the largest of the Miyako Islands, known for its coastal landscapes and clear surrounding waters. Each piece references natural formations found in sand, water and stone, a palette and process that felt well suited to the location.

The works sit in a tonal range of warm whites, sand and copper, selected to complement the travertine and timber interior of the space.
